SHOW Timetable

TABLE OF EVENTS

ALL TIMES ARE APPROXIMATE

08:30 a.m.   Show field Open for Stock

SHEEP PENS

09:30 a.m.  Best young handler aged 7 and under

10.00 a.m. Judging of All Classes commences

12.45 p.m. (approximately) Supreme Sheep Championship followed by presentation of Sheep Section Trophies

1.30 p.m. Sheep Young Handler

2.00 p.m.   Hand Clipping of Sheep Competition

DOG RING

9.30 a.m. Gun Dogs

11.15 a.m. Terriers, Fox Hounds followed by Sheep Dogs. Novelty Dog Classes are to be shown in the Main Ring during the afternoon Programme. 

WRESTLING RING

 1 pm – Taster Session to introduce youngsters to the Sport of Wrestling. 

2.00 p.m.   Cumberland & Westmorland Wrestling (Sponsored by Robinson Udale)

MAIN RING (Spilt into 2)

Ring 1:

8.30am – Hunter followed by Horse/Hack.  Traditional Native and Non Traditional Coloured Horses/Ponies, Cobs.

Concours de Elegance, Heavy Horses and Driving Turnouts will take place in the Main Ring after Rings 1 and 2 are combined.

Ring 2:

8.30 a.m. Registered Fell Ponies followed Registered Mountain & Moorland

Ring 3: ( Main Field)

8.30 a.m. Shetlands followed by In Hand, Riding Ponies, Pony Club Pony

 

Ring 4 (Warmup Ring – adjacent field)

2pm – Pony Games – Enter on the Day

  

MAIN RING ENTERTAINMENT (All Times are Approximate) 

1.30 p.m. (approx.) Judging of the Supreme Championship of Horses & Presentation of Trophies to the Champion of each section

2.00 p.m.  Barrow Fell Race sponsored by The Coledale Inn, Braithwaite.

Visitor Information

The site is approximately a one mile walk from Keswick but, if you prefer, there is a free car park adjoining the show field whilst there is a free shuttle bus service to and from the show field from outside the Quaker Meeting House, Near Booths on vintage buses provided by the Workington Transport Heritage Trust. The first bus leaves Booths at 9am and the last one leaves the show field at 5pm.

Children (5 and Under): Free
Family Ticket: £20.00

As well as cash we are now able to accept card payments.

DOGS

Dogs are more than welcome to Keswick Show. We ask owners to keep their dogs on leads, be courteous to other visitors and clean up any mess they may leave behind. Please do not leave your dogs in your Car.
