KESWICK SHOW 2024
A full day’s entertainment for all the family is planned including Horses, Sheep and Dog Classes. There will be also a display of Vintage Vehicles & Machinery, Cumberland & Westmorland Wrestling including the 12 Stone World Championship, sponsored by the Alhambra Cinema, Keswick, (All other Wrestling Classes kindly sponsored by Robinson Udale, Chartered Accountants and Tax Advisors) Barrow Fell Race (sponsored by The Coledale Inn, Braithwaite), Sheep Clipping & Terrier Racing.
After all the showing Classes have been completed in the Main Ring, Trophies will be awarded to the Champions in the Equine section plus the Supreme Champion (kindly sponsored by WCF Cockermouth). Following on from the Supreme Championship, the Fell Race will start from the Main Ring at 2pm, after which the Youngsters and their Ponies will delight you with a display of Pony Games. The highly entertaining Terrier Racing will take place next giving the audience a good laugh. To Close the afternoon we will invite the Children into the Main Ring to take part in the Children’s Dog and Pet Classes. If we can generate enough interest we hope to end the afternoon with a Tug of War. Also, throughout the afternoon Cockermouth Mechanics Brass Band will be entertaining with a varied program of music.

The Show is evenly spread over two fields with the Industrial Marquee where there are people displaying various Home Industries including Baking, Produce and Photography, Arts & Crafts & Food Marquee. There will be a display of Vintage Vehicles & Machinery alongside Childrens Amusements.
There are over 65 Trade stands selling a variety of goods and a large entry of Horses, Sheep and Dogs
+ Cumberland and Westmorland Wrestling. The Cumbria Championship Sheepdog Trials will run throughout the day where spectators can watch the real life One Man & His Dog as some of the competitors will have competed in the television program.
There is Free Car Parking next to the Main Show field with a section for Disabled Parking. A Free Return Shuttle Bus service will again be running from the Town to the Show field from 9 a.m. all day, the pickup point being outside the Quaker Meeting House opposite Booths Supermarket, Keswick.
A guaranteed fun day out for all with something to please everyone.
About Keswick Show
Keswick Show takes place on August Bank Holiday Weekend on the outskirts of Keswick near Braithwaite.
One of the oldest shows in the county, the Society was founded in 1860 and is a traditional Agricultural Show in a very dominant Tourist area, Town meets Country. Although we sadly no longer have Cattle Classes, there are plenty of other animals to see.
